Review of The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007) by James W — 27 Jun 2013
For an opening scene watching a lady give birth to a mutant child who is then brutally murdered with blood gushing everywhere isn't really inviting, neither is rape, that is unnecessary, despite this opening overall this is a marvellous sequel! The Hills Have Eyes 2 is true to the horror genre with consistent heart pounding scares, intense gore and does a good job at picking off the characters one by one in horrible ways, and once these characters die there is peace and quiet as some of them are cocky and irritating.
I like some of the cast and the acting is pretty good but nothing to write home about, plus the landscape camera shots are stunning, this is a brilliant sequel and I prefer it to the first, and the original.
