Just downright stupid. Period. Absolutely tasteless and pointless violence and gore; a sledgehammer in the groin, rape, one character still fighting after getting shot in the head and losing brain matter, to name just a few.
Most characters make constant absolutely brainless decisions that lead to gruesome deaths, and a stupid ending which only adds to what spoils what good there is in the movie. If you're looking for a movie with people being hunted by ugly cannibals watch Wrong Turn.
You won't go wrong with it, and it does not have the pointless violence and gore or constant brainless decisions by all but one character that plagues The Hills Have Eyes 2.
