Review of The Hills Have Eyes (1977) by Jeremy H — 10 Jul 2007
70's Horror was so great. This is yet another great horror flick to come out of that decade. It's scary, well-acted, well-directed (Wes Craven), and contains a lot of entertaining gory bits. It follows the exact premise of almost every horror film like this: crazy gas-station attendant, people decide to take a short-cut down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, they get captured and massacred by sadistic killer/killers (in this case, mutants from nuclear bomb blasts).
However, this time it's a family rather than a group of college students which adds a new family dynamic and fortunately, there are revenge kills that are more than satisfying.
