Review of The Hills Have Eyes (1977) by Jonathan S — 22 Mar 2008
Now, I bought this movie at K-mart a whiles back, and watched it that very evening. And my reaction was not shock or suprise, but . . . bordom. Halfway through the picture, I was starting to predict its footfalls, redeemed only by an ocassional laugh from a goof or a flub (note the scrape on the lead actor's face).
The only truly terrific scene is when Pluto is attacked by The Beast, and subsequently injured (excellent gore effect). But this cannot right the wrong of this feature, building up to a most unpromising finale.
