Review of The Hills Have Eyes (1977) by David L — 27 Aug 2012
One of Craven's most entertaining low-budget horror movies, thanks a simple story, a likeable cast, unique setting and some decent nasty scares. Craven's script manages to be surprisingly darkly humourous at times.
This manage to recieved an cult following more than 30 years now and Michael Berryman has become an cult horror icon after this movie. Some people might prefer the remake over the original but I love both films of this.
Just don't watch Craven's 1985 sequel, if you do, it is worth it for one sequence, when a dog has a flashback!
