Review of The Hills Have Eyes (1977) by Tanner M — 08 Apr 2017
Wes Craven has made his take on a cannibilistic family in the middle of no where (Texas Chainsaw Massacareish) movie, and I will say it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It had great atmosphere and a good story (until the end).
The things it didn't have going for it was the horrible acting and camera cuts. Now when I say "a good story (until the end)" I'm talking about how the (Spoilers!!!) killers went down so easily.
The entire family was killed off (except for the mom) by a dog, and the scooby-do gang. How does a ruthless killer get killed by a dog. It's horribly bad. Also why do the savages take so long to kill people.
It's not that hard. The think that really saved this movie was the atmosphere. It was very well thought out. I just wish the family was more mutated by the testing site then they were. So if you are a horror fan then check this one out.
It's good for a view.
