Despite playing it too safe and sometimes acting as a tearjerker, The Help still is a beautiful film told with heart, and presenting solid performances from its cast, with its leading lady, Viola Davis, being unforgettable, and its supporting actresses, Octavia Spencer, Jessica Chastain, Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard being outstanding.
