This movie was so enjoyable. From the rich characters (both good and evil), the writing and pretty sets and costumes. This story could have easily devolved into sappy schlock, but I think for the most part it felt genuine.
Of all the female centered stories of the South, this is one of the better movies to have come along in a long time.
