Hysterical from start to finish, I love Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy so I when I first heard about this movie I had to see it and it delivered comedy to the full. I never thought Bullock would do another performance as a cop, her last being Miss Congeniality which was brilliant, but I was wrong and now she's back as uptight by the book cop Sarah Ashburn, who is forced to work with streetwise loudmouth Shannon Mullins in order to get a promotion by taking down a notorious drug lord.

Despite it being rather predictable by the end and with a familiar story, there is thankfully no slog in the middle or anywhere, the whole movie is a breeze thanks to two of the funniest women on our screens.

Paul Feig directed Bridesmaids, and now The Heat, both female driven movies that leave me howling with laughter, he is a top comedy director. At times I found it hard to breathe as I was laughing too much, the dancing scene, the nightclub fiasco involving Ashburn's clothing and the amount of strong language is a comical concoction.

Would I watch it again? Considering it's one of the best comedies of 2013 I would watch it again.
