Review of The Heartbreak Kid (1972) by David S — 28 Feb 2011
It's the down-to-earth details of the story that make this comedy worthwhile. There are quite few out-and-out laughs, and I had the hardest time with the initial setup of the story (how believable is it that Grodin's character married his Berlin's character without knowing all of the things he comes to annoy?).
But there are also some great scenes that go on forever just drowning in discomfort.
