Review of The Heart of Man (2017) by Candy K — 14 Sep 2017

Saw it last night and I already want to see it again! The cinematography is stunning! The symbolism of the story moved me deeply enough to bring me to tears even though I am not a crier for movies. (I have TONS of friends, male and female, that cry during Pixar's Up and others, but I just don't.) Only other film to move me this much was The Passion of the Christ. That moved me more, but nonetheless, tears were shed. How marvelous the Creator is that he collects every single one of our tears!

The testimonies of the people interspersed with the non-verbal story remind us all that sins committed in the dark will be brought to light, which sounds scary when you're in the dark, but freeing when you're on the other side! Even in our sin, we are never alone because God is with us, we're not the first to sin or be abused, and we won't be the last. Billions of people lust in some capacity, whether it is sex-related or otherwise (food, designer clothing, shopping, etc.), so you are not alone! Do whatever it takes to seek the Lord for forgiveness and redemption, and seek out others who will help you recover.

I eagerly look forward to buying this when it comes out. I would love to host a viewing and discussion group with some girl friends, as well as loan it out for men's viewing and discussion.
