Review of The Heart Machine (2014) by Nathan M — 30 Oct 2014
While the film can be incredibly uncomfortable at times and lacks a moral compass, this is a really interesting film that examines not only dating in the digital age, but also highlights the loneliness and impersonal connections that can exist in a city as sprawling as NYC.
Gallagher and Sheil give amazing performances, but the real star is Zachary Wigon's script, which paints its subjects in shades of gray, while allowing the film to have an authentic, naturalistic feel through top-notch dialogue.
