Review of The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) by Snow T — 01 Sep 2010
I was expecting a nothing special horror movie with standard effects, standard story and all too standard ending, basically filler horror. What I got was a standard story that became interesting and kept me hooked.
The effects aren't gory gory gory like some horror movies tend to be, and instead focused more on being unsettling, which they did beautifully. The twist at the end was unexpected and I honestly really liked the explanation of the kid being able to experience things because he was so close to death.
Rather then some random kid with powers. Once again, pleasantly surprised. I will definitely look at bringing this to Horrorfest.
