Review of The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) by Kimberly L — 29 Dec 2011
Going in to "The Haunting in Connecticut" my hopes of being scared, much less enjoying myself, were pretty miniscule at best. I don't know if it was this low expectation or some elements of a good horror film, but regardless of the source I actually kind of enjoyed the film.
Was I truly terrified or "haunted" by what I saw, no not at all, I've seen much better and way more disturbing. This being said, I thought the film had pretty solid acting, a creepy atmosphere and setting as well as some plausibility in the reasoning of the family coming to the home.
While there are way better out there, out of the modern horror garbage that is released in a steady stream this is one of the better films. Worth a watch if you're bored one night and want a moody and creepy little effort.
