Review of The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) by Abb J — 30 Oct 2017
The Haunting in Connecticut: Virginia Madsen stars in this 2009 film about a family that moves to a house in Connecticut to be near a hospital where the eldest son is being treated for cancer, only to discover that the house is a former funeral home infested with demons.
The film claims to be based on a true story, but there is precious little based on fact or even good taste in this predictable, cliche-filled snoozer of a film. It feels more like a really lame Halloween spook house filled with jump scares and low budget gimmicks like creepers standing in mirror reflections and slamming doors.
Yawn. C-.
