The Haunting in Connecticut is another modern horror fluke, its many jump scares and uneven and choppy pacing make it nothing more than typically un-scary. However it's overall atmosphere and story line offer a unique and new sense of terror, even if its claims of being "based on a true story" may be more fabricated than the movie lets on.
