Review of The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) by Horrific R — 12 May 2013
Trying to rationalize why anyone might see ghosts, The Haunting in Connecticut offers another rule to the supernatural world... As far as I know the idea of being close to death giving people a sixth sense is a rather exclusive idea to this film, at least in this case since it includes people with cancer.
This film has little to nothing to offer, the only "scare" that got to me was the initial revealing one... From there one the supernatural aspect of this film was too common and therefore not interesting or surprising.
I personally think this film works better as a drama / suspense than a horror. I also wasn't a fan of the religious lines in this film, I usually don't mind when horror films include this, but here it didn't work.
