Review of The Haunting (1963) by Robert K — 09 Oct 2012
Researchers studying the supernatural gather at Hill House to determine whether or not the residence is truly evil. Julie Harris gives a knockout performance as the lost, emotionally unstable Eleanor, and her relationship to Hill House is fascinating viewing.
It's always a pleasure to see a young Russ Tamblyn in any role, and the direction from Robert Wise is chilling. One of the best, if not the best, haunted house pictures.
