I know this is a classic of the genre, but it just didn't do much for me. Honestly, had it not been for the fact that I'd just finished the book, I'd have probably turned it off. Unfortunately, in an effort to.
.. IDK - make it scarier?... the obliterated the best of the book: the character studies and the subtext. There were some terribly clever shots that were artsy and cool - but they weren't enough to save this one for me.
2-ish stars.
