Review of The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (2009) by Nate W — 23 Sep 2009
If you are really to instantly write Rob Zombie off, because you feel he "raped" the Halloween franchise...then I guess you won't even give this one a chance.
That said, I really enjoyed this movie. I don't think I've seen this level of animated violence, sex, and nudity since the 1970's animated films of Ralph Bakshi. There are cameos of MANY horror movie characters from the well known (Leatherface, Michael Myers, Bride of Frankenstein) to perhaps the lesser known references (Christopher Lee as Dracula, and a Vincent Price/ Masque of The Red Death reference).
For fans of House Of 1000 Corpses and Devils Rejects, you have Otis and Captain Spaulding in there too...so good times had by all.
The comedy in this movie too....clearly Mr Zombie does not worry who he offends. It is an offensive movie to the more sensitive viewers....but as far as they go FUCK EM!!!! I LOVED this movie! HA HA!
