Review of The Haunted Palace (1963) by Brett B — 26 Jun 2011
The locations and sets are atmospheric, the score is dark and grandiose, and Price is at his menacing best, but in addition to selling his character's madness, he also brings a surprising amount of pathos and sympathy to the proceedings.
One of director Corman's better films, this is an effective, creepy little movie.
