Review of The Haunted Palace (1963) by Visitorq S — 02 Jul 2010
Another decent Corman/Price collaboration and its great to see Lon Chaney Jr. get some screentime with the great Vincent Price, the story is very simple-When the great-grandson of a warlock (Vincent Price, in both roles) inherits a crumbling palace in Arkham, Massachusetts, bad things are sure to follow for local villagers whose ancestors burnt the magician at the stake.
The foggy atmosphere helps with the eeerieness and its a great adaptation of H.P Lovecraft's story.
