Review of The Hateful Eight (2015) by Richard S — 18 Sep 2016
I really enjoyed this, if Quentin Tarantino sat down with Agatha Christie for a brain storming session then I imagine this is what would emerge. There is a mystery that underpins the whole story, just like any Agatha Christie plot, there is someone or some people up to no good and the truth will slowly be uncovered.
There is the usual level of violence and language that you expect from any Tarantino film but it's the method of story telling that kept me hooked, revealing the story over 5 chapters, one of which is a flashback that reveals the truth of the situation.
It's a dialogue heavy film that won't be to the taste of all but it's worth the wait for the final act.
