I so wanted to like this movie, I love Melissa McCarthy, and I loved the idea of a raunchy muppet movie, but this movie didn't deliver on the raunchy humor or Melissa's talent. It seemed like it was trying to make a legitimate cop/murder mystery movie with muppets, instead of a funny, goofy movie.
The trailer shows the two or three funny scenes, the rest just missed the mark. Good idea that just didn't have the writing to back it up.
