Review of The Final Girls (2015) by Lilia A — 06 Aug 2016
I was very excited to watch this movie. The plot sounded fantastic.
...I made it ten minutes into the movie before calling it quits. Ten minutes.
First off, the acting. Horrible. Dreadful.
Second off, the beginning clip of an "80's film".
The slapped-on vintage effects were atrocious.
Third off, there is a lack of introductions. Introduction to the characters. Introduction to the situation. Introduction to the changed situation. None of that is there.
Fourth off, my last complaint, is this: WHY DO THE CHARACTERS NOT LOOK AT THE ROAD WHEN THEY DRIVE?!
In the beginning, the mom spent 90% of her driving time staring at her daughter. Somehow she didnt get into a crash until her daughter spilled coffee.
And when the friend drove the daugher to school, same situation. Continous eye contact while driving.
Do not watch this movie. I finish every movie I watch to give the movie a chance at redemption, but not this one. My time is too precious to waste on it.
