The outragiously funny (albiet too familiar) sequel to the suprise comedy hit of 2009 ups the ante with a slapstick orgy of naughtiness. Waking up in a hotel room that's cruddy enough to be a crack den, the presentable voice of sanity Phil, the wild card Alan and frazzled Stu encounter more odd WTF moments in Thailand where they are attending Stu's wedding (to a woman we know little about). They desperatly search the clogged, smoggy streets of Bangkok trying to piece together what happened last night while looking for the bride's studious brother who tagged along, and look for an unimportant bank account number. Like the original film, the laughs aren't just staged but engineered, producing laughs that'll make you choke on your popcorn.

The only problem I have is that the plot stucture is very similar to the original, making you less envolved in the mystery. I guess director/cowriter Todd Phillips didn't want to ruin a good thing. But the film still has plenty of laughs to make up for it thanks to Ken Jeong as Mr. Chow, the gangster they encountered in Vegas, only here he's practically a part of the Wolfpack and wants to help piece the evidence together - at least until he collapses from cocaine (he's entrance into the film will make you roll in the aisle laughing). Also when they learn what happened when they went to a strip club Stu (who must have a thing for strippers) finds something about himself and the people in Bangkok no one saw coming. The Hangover part II is not the classic as the original was but has the laughs that will gie you a good day.
