Review of The Hangover Part II (2011) by Joseph B — 22 May 2013
This film is more like a carbon copy sequel of the first, replacing the location and different events, but still staying similar to the first. At the same time, this film is slightly darker and a lit bit grosser than the first.
The film has the same basic plot: Friends get together for a wedding, end up the next day in another location without any memory and try to figure out what happened. The main cast members, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis, are still very funny, while Paul Giammati is perfectly cast in a supporting role as a mysterious villain.
In the end the film is just a simple retread and after watching it, you feel like you have watched the first all over again.
