While it is said that all the events that happened in the movie have occured in real life in some way or other, I find the story too arbitrary, to suddenly take away most of the freedom from women to do anything productive.
its not the fault with the movie, more with the novel. I particularly hate the fact that all offred can do is to reminisce about her past.
