Review of The Guest (2014) by Bryan C — 09 Jan 2015
Well that got weird. If you are a Downton Abbey fan who always wanted to see the beloved Matthew Crowley do something completely different, here you go. The first half is an edge-seat-of-your thriller that sets up a lot of questions, then the movie takes a hard right turn into a slasher horror film without really answering those questions. That may sound like criticism, and it is... but yet, I still kind of liked this in a guilty pleasure sort of way.
Grade: Somewhere between a C and an A, depending on your mood.
