In fin dei conti "The guardian" e' un prodotto piacevole da vedere, con belle sequenze di salvataggio. Il regista tuttavia sembra non abbia fatto molto per nascondere l'avere preso spunto da "Ufficiale e gentiluomo" e "Top gun".
Il rapporto tra I due protagonisti e le vicende in se' non aggiungono insomma niente di nuovo al gia' visto.
