Review of The Guard (2011) by Shaun B — 15 Jul 2012
Ostensibly a buddy-cop comedy, Brendan Gleason shines as a small town Irish cop with an irreverent sense of humor. When three philosophical, charming and ruthless drug dealers arrive in his small town Gleason teams up with an American by-the-book FBI agent to take them down.
Gleason gives (no kidding) an Oscar nominated performance. He is truly a lovable bastard and hero worth rooting for.
