Review of The Guard (2011) by Les E — 09 Dec 2012
A real gem. Billed as a comedy but its comedic qualities are sublime and at times almost surreal. Gleeson and Cheaddle are excellent together. Gleeson plays a very unorthodox but brilliant local policeman who inadvertently gets involved with the FBI to quash a team of drug traffickers.
The pacing is excellent as it meanders along to a great climax.
