Review of The Grudge 3 (2009) by Jacob G — 28 Jun 2009

I hated this movie SOLELY for the ending. Seriously, the first part of the movie is nothing special, but the rest of it is retarded. I will explain it to you.

THIS IS THE END OF THE MOVIE. DO NOT READ IF YOU INTEND TO WATCH.

It's established that a girl brings back The Grudge and it starts hunting people in America. The Grudge woman's sister is about to perform a ritual that will release the curse from the building, effectively stopping The Grudge. The girl and her sister, two main characters in the movie, are in a room with her. The woman tells the girl to drink the blood to release the curse, which only she can do because she is pure, and her sister is like, "WHOA, NO WAY." The woman is like, "LOOK, EVERYONE WILL DIE UNLESS YOU BREAK THE CURSE." So the dumbass sister grabs the little girl and runs off. Their brother comes in, possessed by the spirit of the killer husband, and brutally murders the Japanese woman performing the ritual. His sister, still holding the little girl, runs INTO the cursed apartment, where she finds her dead boyfriend and begins screaming for about an hour. The Grudge woman appears from out of nowhere and is about to kill her, when the little girl crawls back into the room and drinks the f*cking blood. WHICH SHE SHOULD'VE DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Jesus.

So then the curse is released, and they escape. The brother is standing over the dead Japanese sister (Miko or some other generic Japanese name) crying because he killed her. Then you hear her dead, broken ass come crawling up the stairs to kill him. So now she's the curse. Oh, and the little girl happens to be the Grudge woman. Somehow. Inexplicably.

And all the time you're watching this bullshit, you're thinking, "Why didn't that little girl just drink the blood and finish the ritual? Why did they have to make all this stupid shit, only to have her do it in the first place? And why is she now the Grudge woman?".

And after watching this, you stab yourself in the eye with something dull and blunt, leaving a dreadful curse on your home...
