Firmly embracing it's straight-to-DVD pedigree (together with brand new cast and crew), TG3 amateurishly attempts to emulate the previous Japanese films in style but manages to be an entertaining ride that also prevents Takashi Shimizu from further mauling his own franchise with bad CGI and foreigners inexcusably living in Japan.
