Review of The Grinch (2018) by Dex P — 20 Nov 2018

I'm giving it a full star instead of a half on the merits of the fact that the animation is obviously very well done. However, whoever suggested that they should rewrite Seuss' masterwork should be beaten.

I understood that it needs to be stretched, much like the live action film. But to have the narrator read an ENTIRELY different script than what the rhyming wordsmith originally opined is simply offensive.

And not only do they change the narration but they even change the actual main story beats. If movies continue at this pace, kids won't have any connection to the actual original source because so few actually read.

Very disappointing.
