The Green Mile is one of the greatest films I have ever seen. This is easily the best Steven King film I have ever seen, and I may not find a better one. There are qualities of his other non-horror stories in here such as The Mist and Dreamcatcher. But this film nails it. But it has nothing to do with it not being horror. Horror doesn't mean it's going to be a bad film. But this film is just so good, so poignant, so perfect, and yet so different to make itself stand out from others.

This film seems like it's the first Steven King film to have fairly known actors. The lead role is taken by Tom Hanks who was placed in phenomenal roles in the '90s. This was most likely his final film of the decade, and it may be his best one yet. This film is so touching and heartful, with a dash of the crazy supernatural that Steven King is well known for and pretty much has to have in every film.

I'm just speechless after watching this film. One of the greatest films of all time. A must own. So good. It's a crazy 3 hours, which is basically more than double the length of the average film, but it doesn't even matter. The film is spectacular from start to finish. This film is literally a masterpiece. The film immerses you and makes you empathize of what it is like to walk the green mile.
