Review of The Green Mile (1999) by Jhon E — 28 Sep 2012
Based on Stephen King's serialized novel of the same name, the movie captures the essence of what makes King a phenomenal writer: capturing the heart of who we are as humans both good and bad. Unfortunately, what doesn't make this a completely great film is Michael Clarke Duncan's portrayal of John Coffey, who admittedly is written as a simple, magical black man.
Hanks is dependably strong as are the other strong supporting cast members.
