Review of The Green Mile (1999) by Tero H — 22 Oct 2012
Excellent drama with great actors and interesting plot, mystical elements and humor, I've seen this film adaptation of Stephen King's novel at least twice on tv. Casting is well done and all the characters seem believable.
Some violent elements and discusting 'dramatic personae' are maybe not for the sensitive watcher but the film doesn't go overboard - generally the film is quite humane and sensitive. Memorable, thought provoking, even religious.
Only slightly repetitive, its pretty long movie but it doesn't get boring mainly because of the great actors and the story goes onward without slowdowns. Really well directed.
