Review of The Green Mile (1999) by Paul D — 21 Jul 2013
One of the better Stephen King adaptations. Maybe not quite the masterpiece that The Shawshank Redemption was, The Green Mile is still an incredibly strong and moving follow-up film. Great performances and direction make the over three hour run time go by rather quickly.
The most impressive aspect of the film is how it takes something unrealistic and magical and throws it into the totally believable world of this prison, and never makes it seem out of place or silly.
