Review of The Green Mile (1999) by Alisha T — 14 Jan 2015
Raw, intensely moving, darkly magical, and undeniably fantastic. The Green Mile is a sure-fire success in making viewers pause to consider the importance of open mindedness and, similarly, to help them remember that everything is not always what it seems.
Though it's three hours long, having willingly watched this film more times than I can count, I can say with certainty that it's worth every minute. The story develops at a pace which helps maintain the viewers' attention, as they're left feeling eager to know what will happen next.
This will forever be an all-time favorite movie, and a perfect example as to why Tom Hanks is one of my favorite actors (his performance standing second only to that of Michael Clarke Duncan's).
