Tom Hanks has a real talent for acting as likable characters in his movies. This movie was full of excellent characters. Prison guards with a humane attitude towards the prisoners and their job. That was refreshing.
The electrocutions scenes proved to be of great contrast to the feel good vibe that was presented throughout this long but never boring movie. The pace was perfectly calm with lots of nice little side issues.
I kept looking forward to what the next scene would behold to me. This, quite literally, is a WONDERFUL movie.
