The potential was there for it to be a horror classic. Unfortunately it will have to settle for average.

A movie featuring amazing film locations, and nice imagery, the film simply takes too long to develop, and adds unnecessary plot elements.

The movie as most know is about a group of people who encounter a remote Amazon tribe, who has cannibalism on their mind.

While that sounds frightening, it's only half as effective as it could be due to an irrelevant first act.

I wanted to feel for the characters 100 percent but got only halfway.

Again the potential was there but it was not fulfilled.
