Review of The Green Inferno (2013) by Kris S — 28 Feb 2016
Not since Hostel have I really seen Eli Roth make a film that effects me in the way this did. I found it utterly disturbing but loved the story and cinematography. Which was interesting because what kind of begins as a slow-burn of a docudrama shifts gears into the signature style we all know as fans of Roth.
If you can handle the subject matter I'd recommend it because Eli Roth is definitely doing something different in this one for better or worse I suppose, but it certainly left an impression on me as a horror fan.
Watch it on an empty stomach basically.
