The Green Butchers is a Danish film which I thought was pretty funny, in a very, very, very dark sort of way. A couple of guys open up a deli. One night they accidentially lock an electrician in their walk-in freezer. The electrician dies. The next morning, one of the butchers decides to put the dead body to good use and makes a dish out of the dead guy which he gives to his former employer to serve at a party (the former employer is NOT aware of the fact that what he served at the party was human). Unfortunately for both of the butchers, the dish is a hit with the people at the party. After people hear of the dish through word-of-mouth, everyone in the town lines up to buy some "chickie wickies" (the name of the dish made out of people). With so many people coming to buy his creation, one of the butchers feels "popular" for the first time in his life, so he continues the pratice of "accidentially" locking people in the freezer overnight.

The other butcher has to deal with his retarded brother who wakes up from a 7 year coma. In my opinion, ALL movies should have at least one retarded character and a whole bunch of unknowingly cannibal characters! I give this movie 8 out of 10 stars! I do have to say, however that I felt that the subtitles on The Green Butchers went by a bit too fast for me. I ended up having to rewind a few parts because I didn't catch all the dialouge the first time. My only wish is that the Danish would slow the hell down when talking, just for me!
