Review of The Green Berets (1968) by Jennifer A — 01 Apr 2006
I'm beginning the rather lengthy task of entering into the database every film I have seen, at least those I have a decent memory of. Some may have the briefest of reviews while many will just have a number. Those films that I consider personal favorites and/or those that have some historical signficance I will add later when I have time for more lengthy reviews.
Doctor Dolittle, directed by Richard Fleischer, is a not very good adaption of the children's tales. Stars Rex Harrison as Doctor Dolittle.
Beach Blanket Bingo, directed by William Asher, is another Frankie Avalon/Annette Funicello vehicle. Although the film itself isn't very good, it's kind of fun to look back and see how goofy and inncocent teen movies used to be. Also features Linda Evans, Paul Lynde and Don Rickles.
The Green Berets, starring John Wayne, is a laughably bad pro-Vietnam war film released at the height of the conflict.
