Right-wing propaganda gets viciously scathed a lot more thoroughly than left doesn't it? I don't support this brand of propaganda, I'm just stating the exceedingly obvious.
From a critical standpoint, The Green Berets is not remotely as horrible as the reviews would have you believe. It's shot well and produced well. The plot stretches out longer than it should and never thickens as much as it should, but it's not completely unenjoyable as a John Wayne vehicle. Heck, he even co-directed this one, which is somewhat interesting in itself.
