A fairly good depiction of the life of Jesus, especially for the time it was made...the cast was also pretty good for the time. It was beautifully made, very sensitive.
One thing I appreciate about this film which is common with films of its era, and why it maybe isn't as popular now is that it tries to depict Jesus's life somewhat realistically without overglamourizing and overhollywoodizing it. The producers also put into the budget a subject of this quality deserves.
Watch this one along with the "Passion of the Christ" and see how they compare.
