Review of The Greatest Showman (2017) by David I — 11 Mar 2018
When Hugh Jackman kisses a bearded lady you know one of either 2 things, A) he is a madman; or, B) you're watching the greatest movie about a showman, which would be 'The Greatest Showman'.
Thank goodness it was the latter, and the film ended up to be quite good, dare I say even great. The Greatest Showman is definitely a feel good movie, where Jackman's character takes a quick trip to the island of misfit toys to show the world that they can put on a show.
And they do so, so 9 out of 10 stars. I do believe this film will find its audience even tho so far it has failed at the boxoffice with such competition as Last Jedi and Jumanji during the holiday season releases.
It's a great feel good movie for the holidays that only a fog machine, a spotlight and a man with a dream can deliver.
