The critics didn't like it. I first watched it on a plane and was instantly hooked. Why? The story is sentimentalised, the acting sometimes clunky - but there is magic here., It's mostly the songs - they are formulaic but tap into something in your head and you can't get them out - weeks later I am going around singing them.
