What an amazingly conceived, directed and performed piece of filmmaking.
So I like musicals, but this was shot like no other. The best use of efficient, compelling and forward moving story telling I've seen in ages. Visually beautiful.
The remarkable choreography could stand alone with its creative brilliance, but like the music, it makes the story.
What risk and reward in believing in and having this visual effects genius direct, Michael Gracey. And the practical unknowns Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, & Ryan Lewis writing the music and lyrics. And the choreographer, Ashley Wallen!
